Olga I. Maslova — Dr.Sci.Med., Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of psychic and emotional relaxation, cognitive support, and correction and restoration aid of the Research Institute of Preventive Pediatrics and Restorative Treatment of the Federal State Budgetary Research Institution Scientific Center of Child Health. (Moscow, Russia)   

Education:

In 1967, she graduated from the pediatric faculty of the N.I. Pirogov Moscow State Medical Institute of the Lenin order.

Therapeutic Activities:

Since April 1974, she has worked in the Research Institute of Pediatrics of the RAMS as a Chief Research Assistant of the Psychiatry and Neurology Department, since 1988, she has been in charge of the therapeutic work of the Department, and from 1990 to 2006, she has been the Head of the Psychiatry and Neurology Department.

From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a neurologist of the Consultation and Diagnostic Center of the Federal State Budgetary Research Institution Scientific Center of Child Health with the RAMS. In 2009, she was elected Head of the Department of psychic and emotional relaxation, cognitive support, and correction and restoration aid of the Research Institute of Preventive Pediatrics and Restorative Treatment of the Federal State Budgetary Research Institution Scientific Center of Child Health with the RAMS.

Research and Teaching Work:

In 1972, she defended the Ph.D. thesis on the topic of "Clinical and Genetic Analysis of Obesity of Children and Adolescents".

In 1992, she defended the Doctor's thesis on the topic "Dynamics of Clinical Syndromes of Organic Disorders of the Nervous System of Children with Long-Term Rehabilitation".

Mrs. Maslova is a frequent speaker at all congresses and conferences on child neurology, pediatrics, neurosurgery, psychology, new medical technologies with the results of her research. She is a member of editorial boards of a number of journals.

In 2008 (Moscow) and 2012 (St. Petersburg), she was a co-author of Academician A.A. Baranov in reports on child neurology and cognitive development of children and adolescents. She has over 700 scientific publications in diagnostics and treatment of various diseases of the nervous system in children (during previous 3 years, she published 5 chapters in 5 monographs, 8 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, 3 methodological guidelines, and 6 abstracts).
