   Irina G. Rudakova

Neurologist and epileptologist, Doctor of Medicine, professor of neurology, doctor of higher category, the Honored Health Care Worker of the Moscow region, professor at the department of neurology (faculty of advanced medical studies of the Moscow regional research clinical institute of M.F. Vladimirsky).

She graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute in 1985.

She has been working in health care system for almost 25 years and 24 of them are devoted to neurology. Her master’s (1998) and doctoral theses (2003) are devoted to the problems in neuroendocrinology, including the differentiation between neuroendocrine paroxysmal disorders and epilepsy. She is an author of more than 120 scientific works published in Russian and foreign literature, including 7 monographs and guidelines for physicians.

From 2003 till present she is the head of a specialized office of epilepsy and paroxysmal disorders in adults, at the consulting and diagnostic department of Moscow regional research clinical institute of M.F. Vladimirsky. She is actively involved in the doctor’s training. Moreover, she provides assistance for adults with epilepsy in the Moscow region.

Among the main priorities of her scientific and practical work are diagnostics and treatment of epilepsy, differentiation of epilepsy with other paroxysmal disorders in adults, neurological disorders occurred in patients with endocrine diseases.

She has an in-depth knowledge of her subject which enables her to train doctors in a wide range of questions on neurological problems. She is an active participant of Russian and international congresses on epileptology. She is a member of the Moscow regional association of neurologists and a member of the editorial board of the "Bulletin of Practical Neurology".
