Since 1981 he worked as a neurosurgeon in Kuibyshev’s clinics as well as was an assistant at medical institute.

From 1981 till present he is the head of the department of neurology of the Pediatric faculty, E.A. Wagner Perm State Medical Academy.

He is an author of more than 300 publications, 11 monographs, 5 guidelines for doctors and students, 3 inventions, 8 certificates in intellectual property.

He has successfully supervised 24 master's and 8 doctoral theses.

Among the main priorities of his scientific interest are diagnostic difficulties and treatment of the brain and spinal cord injuries occurred in the perinatal period, infantile cerebral palsy, epilepsy, craniocerebral injuries, brain tumors and other neurological disorders in children.

He is a board member of the Bureau of the All-Russian Society of Neurologists and the Perm scientific and practical society of neurologists; founder of school of pediatric neurologists in Perm Region.
