
Alexei A. Kholin
In 1998, he graduated from the Pediatric faculty of the Russian State Medical University with honors degree.
In 1998-2000, he was a resident at the department of neurology of the same faculty, where he specialised in nervous diseases. From February, 1999 till present he works at the department of psychoneurology and epilepsy of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. Among his priorities is video-electroencephalography monitoring, in which he became primarily interested since 1999.
From 2002 till present A.A. Kholin takes the position of assistant at the department of neurology and neurosurgery, Pediatric faculty, RSMU.
His master's thesis, which was successfully defended in 2005, is entitled “Aged and pharmaco-induced evolution of epilepsy in infancy and early childhood”.
From 2002 to 2007 he trained in a number of foreign countries, where he mastered the technique of pre- and intraoperative neurophysiological examination in patients with epilepsy, including multichannel intensive video-EEG monitoring with the use of 10-10 system, implantation of sphenoidal electrodes and intraoperative electrocorticography.
He is an author of more than 30 scientific works, including 2 monographs and a co-author of "Atlas of electro-clinical diagnosis of epilepsy".
