Without video-electroencephalographic monitoring, misinterpretation of this phenomenon leads to diagnostic errors and unnecessary polytherapy, whereas correct verification of the phenomenon allows for optimized treatment and seizure control. The authors present a literature review with a case report.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Феномен HIHARS-AA (hyperventilation-induced high-amplitude rhythmic slowing with altered awareness) – гипервентиляционно-индуцированное высокоамплитудное ритмическое замедление биоэлектрической активности с изменением сознания – является неэпилептическим возрастзависимым состоянием, которое может сосуществовать с детской абсансной эпилепсией, клинически неотличимо имитируя абсансы. Без проведения видеоэлектроэнцефалографического мониторинга неверная интерпретация данного феномена приводит к диагностическим ошибкам и проведению необоснованной политерапии, тогда как правильная верификация феномена позволяет оптимизировать лечение и добиться контроля над приступами.
