Epilepsy is the most significant comorbidity in autism. The present article covers various aspects of comorbidity between epilepsy and autism, described in the literature over the last 50 years. This review aims to analyze the development of epilepsy and autism during ontogenesis and to identify causal relationships between these diseases, considering the information on the two age peaks for epilepsy onset in patients with autism.</p>
Цель обзора – анализ возникновения эпилепсии и аутизма в процессе онтогенеза, выявление причинно-следственных связей между данными заболеваниями с учетом имеющихся сведений о 2 возрастных пиках дебюта эпилепсии при аутизме.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>autism</kwd><kwd>autism spectrum disorders</kwd><kwd>epilepsy</kwd><kwd>ontogenesis</kwd><kwd>autism as a result of epilepsy</kwd><kwd>epilepsy as a result of autism</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>аутизм</kwd><kwd>расстройства аутистического спектра</kwd><kwd>эпилепсия</kwd><kwd>онтогенез</kwd><kwd>аутизм как следствие эпилепсии</kwd><kwd>эпилепсия как следствие аутизма</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Malinina E.V., Zabozlaeva I.V., Sablina T.N., Sedinkin A.A.
